The Powderhorn neighborhood is located just three miles south of Downtown Minneapolis. It gets its name from Powderhorn Lake, which has multiple playgrounds, community education buildings, playing fields and a warming house for ice skating in the winter. This thriving and diverse neighborhood is home to eight communities within, which include: Bancroft, Bryant, Central, Corcoran, Lyndale, Powderhorn Park, Standish and Whittier.
The residential homes consist of single-family houses, duplexes and three story brick apartments/condos.
